Who We Are
Purpose (Why--What is our reason for existence?)
To equip and empower college students
to embody the faith of Christ
within their communities.
Mission (What & How?)
Through hospitality, worship, study, advocacy, stewardship and service,
we bear witness to the counter-cultural reign of God in our midst.
Vision (To What End--What does it look like when we do it well?)
To become a community of belonging for all college students,
and a beacon of hope in the world,
where dividing walls of race, economics,
ability, creed, and social status
are broken down,
and the oneness of God’s good creation
is made visible.
Truth-telling (and receiving)
Empathy (or Unity or ‘kenosis’)
The Presbyterian Student Center has been an active ministry at the University of Georgia since 1940. We are not a congregation, but a community of faith comprised of students who minister to each other and the university community. We have occupied our current building since 1959 and we share this space with several other campus ministries every week.
If you are a student, we hope that you will join us for dinner and worship on Tuesdays at 7pm during the fall and spring semesters. We are located on Lumpkin St. directly across from the UGA football practice field.
To learn more about our ministry, subscribe to our newsletter. If you are an alum, please visit our alums and friends page. If we can help you with anything else, please don’t hesitate to contact us directly.
Presbyterian Campus Ministry, Inc. is a ministry of Northeast Georgia Presbytery and a UKirk Ministry of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). We are a subordinate 501(c)3 of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), governed by a board of directors appointed by Northeast Georgia Presbytery.
We are also directly supported by several congregations, Presbyterian Women groups, and many individuals. It is a joy for us to partner with many congregations and groups in this common ministry and we are always happy to have more partners in ministry.
Thank you for your interest in and support of the Presbyterian Student Center at the University of Georgia. We are always happy to hear from you.
